Dr Choy SH is an experienced and thoughtful science educator with more than 8 years of teaching and academic mentoring experience. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular Epidemiology from the University of Malaya (UM), bringing strong research depth and academic rigor into her teaching practice.
Her teaching journey began during her university years, where she served as a laboratory tutor for undergraduate Developmental Biology, guiding students through experimental techniques and strengthening their conceptual understanding. She later continued her academic mentorship as a research fellow, co-supervising and mentoring interns from various international universities in their research projects.
These experiences have shaped her ability to guide learners at different academic stages with patience, clarity, and purpose.
At ChemPraxis, Dr Choy specialises in teaching Biology and Chemistry, where she guides students to develop strong conceptual understanding, analytical thinking skills, and academic confidence across both foundational and advanced levels of study.
Teaching is deeply meaningful to Dr Choy. She finds fulfillment in supporting students as they build confidence, develop scientific curiosity, and discover the joy of learning beyond the classroom.
