Dr Lee HC – A-Level Physics & Mathematics Educator
Dr Lee HC
Head of Mathematics & Further Mathematics Department, ChemPraxis A-level College
Dr Lee HC is a highly accomplished Mathematics and Physics educator with more than eight years of teaching experience, specialising in A-Level Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Physics.
He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics from the University of Malaya (UM) and is a member of the Institute of Physics Malaysia (Institut Fizik Malaysia). His strong academic foundation, scientific research experience, and expertise in mathematical problem-solving enable him to bring both intellectual depth and practical insight into the classroom.
As the designated Head of Mathematics & Further Mathematics for the ChemPraxis A-Level College, Dr Lee will lead the academic development and delivery of both subjects, with particular emphasis on curriculum planning, assessment standards, advanced mathematical reasoning, and university preparation.
His academic approach focuses on developing students’ conceptual understanding, analytical precision, and ability to apply mathematical principles to unfamiliar and challenging problems.
Recognising that Mathematics and Further Mathematics provide essential foundations for higher education in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, and other quantitative disciplines, Dr Lee is committed to preparing students for the intellectual demands of university-level study.
Beyond examination excellence, he believes that Mathematics education should cultivate logical reasoning, independent thinking, intellectual curiosity, and the confidence to approach complex problems systematically.
Academic Background
“I am HCl, but I promise I will only dissolve confusion, not students.”
“You probably won’t believe it, but 120 = 5!”

Teaching Philosophy
Dr Lee’s teaching style emphasizes real-life connections, hands-on demonstrations, and visual reasoning to make abstract concepts intuitive and memorable. From electromagnetic demonstrations to interactive problem-solving sessions, his classes are designed to make Physics enjoyable, achievable, and confidence-building. He creates an environment where curiosity thrives, encouraging students to think critically and develop a deeper understanding of the subject beyond exams.
His approach focuses on:
-
Structured Problem Solving
Breaks down complex Physics and Mathematics problems into clear, logical steps to strengthen analytical thinking. -
Conceptual Precision
Ensures students understand the underlying principles behind formulas and calculations before applying exam strategies -
Exam Strategy & Performance
Guides students in approaching challenging questions systematically to improve accuracy and examination confidence.
